Biography

Timothy S. Bailey, M.D., F.A.C.E., F.A.C.P., C.P.I.

Dr. Bailey is an advocate for using technology to better manage data from medical devices, with the goal of improving care for people with diabetes. His work in this area has been presented at national meetings including that of the American Diabetes Association and the Diabetes Technology Society. Dr. Bailey has been published in journals such as Point of Care, Clinical Diabetes, and Diabetes Care. He is a coauthor of the book Using Insulin: Everything You Need for Success with Insulin.

Dr. Bailey received his medical degree from the Mount Sinai Medical School. He is a fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the American College of Physicians. He is also a clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and is active in the education of patients and physicians.

Dr. Bailey has specialized in treating people with diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid diseases, and lipidand other metabolic disorders with North County Endocrine Medical Group since 1990. He is board-certified in endocrinology, metabolism, and diabetes. He is also a certified physician investigator active in conducting phase II to IV clinical trials. He actively consults for firms that are working to bring the latest technology into patient care.
