There are two categories for accessing subsidised Dexcom CGM, where you can access partly-subsidised or fully-subsidised CGM products.

How can I access Dexcom CGM via the NDSS CGM Subsidy Initiative?
Regardless of which Access Group you apply through, all individuals will need to follow these easy 4 steps.

Review the eligibility criteria.
Step 2
Complete your relevant access form with your healthcare professional.
Your healthcare professional can use the NDSS Health Professional Portal out of ease. If your healthcare professional doesn’t have access to the NDSS Health Professional Portal, they can also help complete these manual forms available here:
Step 3
NDSS will contact you to confirm your eligibility.
Step 4
For Dexcom G6: Your starter kit (first order) will get sent to your healthcare professional or directly to you (speak to your healthcare professional). All subsequent orders can be ordered through your local Access Point/Pharmacy. Find your local pharmacy.
For Dexcom G7: You do not need a starter kit, you can go straight to the local Access Point/Pharmacy to order your supplies. Find your local pharmacy.
I'm on Dexcom G6 or another CGM already. How do I switch to Dexcom G7?
If you are already on the CGM Subsidy Initiative on the Dexcom G6 or another CGM product and want to switch to the Dexcom G7, follow the steps below from the 1st March 2025:
1. Speak to your healthcare professional and they can update your CGM device through the NDSS Health Professional Portal. If your healthcare professional does not have access to this portal, you and your healthcare professional can also complete the 'Update or Ceasing' form.
2. Once the form is submitted and approved by NDSS, you will be able to order Dexcom G7 directly from your local Access Point/Pharmacy. Find your local pharmacy here.
