How are ranges defined for Time in Range?
Time in Range is the percentage of time that glucose levels are in low, target and high ranges. Dexcom CLARITY displays time in range from both daytime and nighttime ranges to help those living with type 1 or type 2 diabetes better understand their normal target glucose levels.
Each Dexcom CGM reading is compared against the custom glucose target range and assigned a category of High, In Range, Low, or Urgent Low. Readings are tallied, then percentages for each category are calculated.
