What do I need to know about Dexcom G4 PLATINUM and Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM system sales being discontinued, and ongoing product availability?

A: Dexcom G4 PLATINUM and Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM systems will no longer be available for purchase in Canada as of June 30th, 2020. More on each component of these systems below:

  • Transmitters: G4 PLATINUM and G5 Mobile transmitters will be available for order when calling in to Customer Service until June 30th, 2020.
  • Sensors: To support those who have recently purchased a new G4 Platinum or G5 Mobile transmitter, G4 and G5 sensors will be available to order through Customer Service until December 31st, 2020.
  • Receivers: Dexcom will honour all warranties, in full, for all G4 or G5 Receivers within the terms and conditions set out in your product’s User Guide.

Technical Support will continue to be available for G4 and G5 supplies until June 30th, 2021. To request a product replacement due to technical failure or for product troubleshooting, Technical Support can be reached by phone, 24/7, at 1-844-832-1809.
