What is a sensor code and why do I need one?

When you start a new sensor, you must enter a code into your display device to use the G6 without fingerstick calibrations. Each sensor has its own code printed on the back of the adhesive patch.

No. The new Dexcom G6 CGM system is designed to eliminate the need for fingerstick calibrations* and can be used for 10 days without restart.

How long can I wear the sensor?

The Dexcom G6 sensor is approved to be worn up to 10 days.

What is the Android Do Not Disturb Permission?

What is the Android Do Not Disturb Permission? Support for the Android Do Not Disturb Permission was introduced with the release of G6 Android app version 1.9.0. Safety is Dexcom's top priority, so this new app permission is required to ensure you always get the Urgent Low alarm and important Dexcom alerts even when you put your phone in the most restrictive Do Not Disturb setting.

How do I share my glucose data with the Apple Health app?

Apple Health is a health and fitness tracking app included on Apple devices (iOS 8+). You can share your glucose data with Apple Health. Health gets the information after a three-hour delay, not in real time.

How do I set up Siri on the G6 app?

With the Dexcom G6 app version 1.9 and later, you can ask Siri to recite your Dexcom glucose readings out loud and display your graph directly on the lock screen.This feature is only compatible with iOS devices using iOS 13 and above and supported Apple Watches and watchOS. Visit www.dexcom.com/compatibility to view our compatible smart devices. Check Apple's website to see if Siri is available in your country.

What are the Dexcom G6 alert capabilities?
