Does the Follow App work with G6?
Yes, the Follow App works the same way as it did with the Dexcom G5 Mobile.
How do I set up the Dexcom G6 with my phone?
The Dexcom G6 app has to be downloaded and is different from the Dexcom G5 Mobile app. (Please note: The G6 system will not work with the G5 Mobile app.) It is available for free from the Apple App or Google Play stores. The app is named "Dexcom G6".

A new Dexcom patient will receive the Dexcom G6 system including a transmitter and sensors.

Is Dexcom creating a recycling program for the sensor applicator?
At this time, Dexcom will not have a recycling program. Dexcom recommends that users dispose of the used applicator following local guidelines for blood containing components.

How do I upgrade from Dexcom G6 to Dexcom G7?
Upgrading to Dexcom G7 is easy. If you are funded for Dexcom G6 then speak to your doctor or diabetes team at your next appointment about upgrading to Dexcom G7.
I have extra supply of Dexcom G6. Will I be able to continue to use them?
We’ll continue to support the Dexcom G6 app for a short period beyond the end of sale date on the 30th September 2026. We recommend using your Dexcom G6 supply in a timely manner and upgrading to Dexcom G7 to ensure an uninterrupted connection.
