How do I share my glucose data with the Apple Health app?

To share glucose data with Apple Health Tap on the Connections tab in the Dexcom G7 app Tap Apple Health Tap Activate to share Tap the Blood Glucose switch on the Health Access screen Tap Allow Apple Health does not get your glucose data right away, there is a 3-hour delay.

Can I use Dexcom G6 components with my Dexcom G7 CGM System?

No. Dexcom G6 sensors, transmitters, and receivers are not compatible with the Dexcom G7 CGM System.

How do I log into my Dexcom account?

Your user ID is the name or number you use to log in to all Dexcom apps and services. Learn more about how to log into your Dexcom account.

Using Your Dexcom CGM System

Removing your Dexcom G7 Sensor

After sensor session ends, peel off patch like a bandage. To make it easier, try these tips: Loosen edge and soak patch in body oil, like baby oil or an adhesive remover for skin (see product instructions before using). Use adhesive removal wipes for skin to rub the skin that gets exposed as you peel back the patch. Try different pulling techniques:

Does the Dexcom Follow app work with Dexcom G7?

Yes, the Dexcom Follow app works the same way as it did with the Dexcom G6 app on compatible smart devices.‡ Separate Dexcom Follow app required. Internet connectivity is required for data sharing. Followers should always confirm readings on the Dexcom G7 app or receiver before making treatment decisions. Followers must have compatible smart devices to use the Dexcom Follow app: dexcom.com/g7-compatibility

How long can I wear the Dexcom G7 sensor?

The Dexcom G7 sensor is indicated to be worn for up to 10 days, plus a 12-hour grace period at the end.

Can I get Dexcom G7 wet?

Once inserted, the sensor is waterproof up to 2.4 meters. The receiver is not. Swim, shower, and take a bath with the sensor, but leave the receiver out of the water. If you are in or near water, your display device may need to be closer than 6 meters to get sensor readings...

How do I get activity data into my Dexcom G7 App?

Your Dexcom G7 app can be connected to Apple Health or Google Health Connect to access data from the apps and devices you use to track your activity.

What is Activity Logging?

Activity logging is a way to get data from other activity tracking apps and devices into G7 through Apple Health / Health Connect.

Will Dexcom Clarity work with Dexcom G7?

Yes, Dexcom G7 works with Dexcom Clarity.

What apps and devices are compatible with Apple Health and Health Connect?

Wear OS watches, Oura rings, Fitbit devices, and several other third-party devices support Health Connect. However, other mainstream fitness apps and platforms like Strava and Garmin, do not work with Health Connect at this time.

Why am I being asked to update my smartphone's operating system (OS) to continue getting Dexcom G7 app updates?

Each year we assess whether to keep supporting older Operating Systems (OS) for Dexcom apps. When an OS you’re using is no longer supported for your Dexcom app, we will ask you to update your OS to continue getting app updates. Your current Dexcom app version will continue to work, but you won’t be able to get future app updates until you update your OS to the new required minimum OS.  

Will updating my smart phone affect how I can use my Dexcom G7?

Before upgrading your smart phone or its operating system, check dexcom.com/g7-compatibility. Automatic Dexcom G7 app and/or Android smartphone operating system updates can change settings or shut down the Dexcom app, so always update your smart phone manually and verify the correct device settings afterward.

Are certain smartphones compatible with Dexcom G6 that are not compatible with Dexcom G7?
