What devices and software are compatible with Dexcom apps?
Check Dexcom's compatibility chart <https://www.dexcom.com/compatibility> before updating your smart device or mobile operating system (OS). Dexcom tests its apps for compatibility on new OS versions after they're released.
How can I see the last 24 hours of my Sharer's glucose readings?
All Follow version users can tap the 24 hour button on your Sharer's page. Follow version 4.0 and up users may also turn the smart device sideways to see more detailed data.
Can I customize notification settings?
Yes, you can choose which glucose notifications you receive for each Sharer. Changes to settings in the Follow app do not affect the Sharer's CGM settings.
What smart phones are compatible with the Follow app?
iOS and Android platforms are compatible for Followers. To view the latest supported devices, visit http://www.dexcom.com/compatibility
Calibration and Accuracy Issues
Does the G6 accept calibrations?
The option to enter calibrations was included to allow a user to manually calibrate the system in case the start-up calibration code is lost. The system is designed to work properly without calibrations.
Common Activities with Dexcom CGM
What components are required with the new G6 system?
A new Dexcom patient will receive the Dexcom G6 system including a transmitter and sensors. An optional touch screen receiver is available as well.

Is there a new app for the G6?
Yes, the Dexcom G6 app will be available for free download in the Google Play and Apple App Stores. The Dexcom G5 Mobile App will not work with a G6 System and vice versa.
What are the recommended Android phone settings?
Your phone settings can prevent the Dexcom Follow app from working. Learn more about the settings that will allow your app to work as expected. App PauseOn Android 10 and above, Pause temporarily disables apps.
What are the recommended G6 Android phone settings?
Your phone settings can prevent the Dexcom G6 app from working. Learn more about the settings that will allow your app to work as expected. Focus ModeOn Android 9 and above, Focus Mode disables apps when it is on.
How do I set up the Dexcom G6 with my phone?
The Dexcom G6 app has to be downloaded and is different from the Dexcom G5 Mobile app.
Setting Up Sharing and Dexcom Clarity
How do I get to Dexcom Clarity?
Go to https://clarity.dexcom.eu from an internet browser with internet connection. Review Clarity's list of computer and internet requirements if needed.
Can I use both a receiver and smart device with Dexcom Clarity?
It is possible to use both a smart device and a receiver to provide CGM data. The smart device system streams data to the Clarity server, where that data is made available for reports after three hours.
How can I customize Dexcom Clarity?
In Dexcom Clarity, use the Settings page to customize data display and sharing. Changes only apply to Dexcom Clarity and do not change any settings on your Dexcom CGM system.

Entering your Transmitter SN into your Dexcom receiver
The transmitter SN is a series of numbers and/or letters that can be found in the following locations. On the transmitter box label the transmitter SN number is the same as the SN number on the box.
