Yes, every Dexcom sensor has an expiration date on it. Through additional testing and research, we were able to validate that our Dexcom G6 sensors are capable of supporting a longer shelf life than originally indicated. As of now, all Dexcom G6 sensors have been qualified to support extension of the shelf-life to the end of the 18th month from the date of manufacturing. As a result, some Dexcom G6 sensor expiration dates have been extended and labeled with an additional sticker on the packaging.  All future Dexcom G6 sensors will display a shelf-life to the end of the 18th month from the date of manufacturing. Any sensor with an extended sensor expiration date is safe to use for the extended period indicated on the packaging.
