How do I reset my Dexcom account password?

I use Dexcom G7. How do I reset my password?
First, you need to know your user ID.
Depending on your age and when you created your account, your user ID may be:
  • a username
  • your email
  • your mobile number
You must enter the correct user ID to reset your password. If you aren’t sure what type of user ID you have, the chart below may help.
Username
Email
Mobile number
Your user ID is a username if:
1. You are below legal age,
OR
2. You created your account before August 2021 (any age).
Your user ID is your email if:
1. You created your Dexcom account after August 2021.
AND
2. You are above legal age.
AND
3. You verified your Dexcom account with a code sent via email.
Your user ID is your mobile number if:
1. You created a new Dexcom account after May 2023.
AND
2. You are above legal age.
AND
3. You verified your account via a text message to your mobile number.
Once you have your user ID, you can reset your password:
1. Go to the log in screen.
2. Tap Forgot your username or password?
1. Tap the circle next to your user ID type:
a. Mobile number OR
b. Email or username
2. Enter your user ID.
3. Tap Send code.
Based on your user ID, the app will send you a code by email or by text message. This is to verify your identity and keep your personal information secure.
  1. Enter the code.
  2. Follow the onscreen instructions to reset your password.
Note: If the user is a minor, the code will go to the email or mobile number of the adult who created the account.
How do I know if my verification code will be sent in an email or text message?
Your user ID determines whether you will get a verification code by email or text message:
  • Email: Your user ID is your email address, or you have username.
  • Text message: Your user ID is your mobile number.
