It’s ideal for people who don’t have a smartphone† or who prefer to use a dedicated device to monitor their glucose levels. The G6 Receiver features a touchscreen display for more convenient display.

How Dexcom G6 works
Simple auto-applicator

1. Auto-applicator

Use the applicator to apply your G6 sensor to your arm, abdomen or upper buttocks (ages 2-17), which automatically inserts the sensor just beneath your skin.
Sensor and transmitter

2. Sensor and transmitter

Snap the transmitter into place to get automatic glucose readings The transmitter can be reused for up to 90 days from activation.
Display Device

3. Display Device

You can get your automatic glucose readings and alerts on either a receiver or a compatible smartphone and/or smartwatch†,¶ when using the Dexcom G6 app.
