Symposia - Dexcom: Leading the Way Through the Diabetes Journey for HCPs and Patients

Dexcom is proud to present this 90-minute education program focusing on the use of Dexcom CGM throughout the diabetes journey for both HCPs and patients. The program will begin with a review of Dexcom G7 use in Germany by Prof. Dr. Bernhard Kulzer, followed by Dr. Jan Soupal to share the first-time presented real-world, prospective COMISAIR 7-year rtCGM outcome data. Dr. Carol Levy will continue the discussion of Dexcom CGM leading the way through the DM lifespan, focusing on the use of Dexcom CGM in pregnancy, with the review of the new randomized-controlled trial looking at AID use in pregnancy (AiDAPT study) and first-time presented data of the accuracy of the Dexcom G7 in pregnancy. Finally, the program will conclude with Dr. Jackie Elliott that will follow from her last year’s presentation on the use of the new Dexcom ONE and unveil the outcomes of her single-center, prospective study using Dexcom ONE and HbA1c reduction.

Hot Topic - Dexcom: Leading the Way with Accuracy and Connectivity

The pace of development in diabetes technology is rapid. New systems and tools often outpace the clinical evidence demonstrating the benefit for people with type 1 diabetes. In this session, you will learn the latest updates on the guidelines and reimbursement landscape for CGM and automated insulin delivery (AID). Additionally, we will present late breaking results from the landmark COMISAIR study that first demonstrated the superiority of RT-CGM to SMBG, regardless of the method of insulin delivery. Finally we discuss how RT-CGM like Dexcom is made for connections powering over 1 million patient years on AID1.

New data is emerging on the use of CGM metrics to inform therapeutic and treatment decisions. This program will review the recently published international consensus statement that may enhance the interpretability of CGM data. We will also examine how RT-CGM, like Dexcom, may provide support and improve glycemic outcomes with unique device features designed to support diabetes-related safety and efficacy.
