What is Dexcom Follow?
Remotely monitor a Dexcom CGM user's glucose with the Dexcom Follow app. Once a Sharer's invitation is accepted, the Follower can see:
- Sharer's glucose reading
- Sharer's trend arrow showing their glucose speed and direction
- Glucose notifications of changes, like a Low or High
Both the Sharer's and Follower's smart devices must have a mobile data connection or Wi-Fi. For a list of smart devices compatible with Dexcom ONE+ app, see dexcom.com/compatibility.
When using Share or Follow, remember:
- You must keep your Dexcom ONE+ app open to share glucose information and alerts with your Followers
- Battery: Keep display devices charged
- Internet:
Connect smart devices to the internet
Airplane Mode is off - Voice and data at the same time: Do the mobile service carriers support voice and data at the same time (simultaneous voice and data)? If not, Share will not send data during phone calls. When your phone call is over, Share will fill in any missing glucose information.
Share and Follow will not work if there is something wrong with the smart device(s). Refer to your smart device instructions for troubleshooting.
