Why is Dexcom G6 being discontinued, and when?
As we’ve done with all previous generations of Dexcom CGM, we are phasing out Dexcom G6 to focus on bringing you the latest technology and care with Dexcom G7.
With Dexcom G7 you can enjoy all the benefits of Dexcom G6, plus new features that make managing your diabetes even easier.
We recommend upgrading to Dexcom G7 as soon as possible to avoid interruptions to your care.
We understand the importance of seamless connectivity. Dexcom G7 will be compatible with our pump and pen partners before discontinuing Dexcom G6. Specific connectivity timelines for each device will be communicated as soon as they're confirmed.
Please be aware that from 1 April 2026 you will no longer be able to order Dexcom G6 for new patients in the UK*. This decision allows us to prioritise existing Dexcom G6 users and ensure a reliable supply for them as we transition all patients to Dexcom G7. We will continue to work with your clinic to support consistent care for all Dexcom G6 users and recommend upgrading to Dexcom G7 as soon as possible to help ensure care is not interrupted.
