What is on prescription?
NICE now recommends that people with type 1 diabetes are offered a choice of glucose sensor, including rt-CGM.1 Children and young people with type 1 diabetes should be offered rt-CGM.2 For people with type 2 diabetes the recommendation is that rt-CGM can be considered as an alternative to isCGM.2
DEXCOM ONE and DEXCOM ONE+
The Dexcom ONE sensors last up to 10 days and along with the transmitter (re-usable with up to a 3-month battery life) are available on drug tariff if the patient is eligible as per local criteria*. Dexcom ONE sensors can be prescribed monthly or quarterly. The patient’s transmitter requires changing after 3 months and is also available on prescription.
You can help to reduce packaging and waste by filling prescriptions with boxes of sensors in place of single sensors.1x box of three sensors (421-4722) is equivalent to 3x single sensors (421-4714).
