In September 2019 Apple will release iOS 13. By default iOS 13 will change your devices Bluetooth permission settings. These new settings will require users to accept the new Bluetooth permissions. All Dexcom G5, G6 and Share users will need to allow their Dexcom apps to use your Bluetooth by clicking on the &quot;OK&quot; button that will appear on your iOS screen. You can also go into your app and accept the new Bluetooth request.

Proper insertion technique is important to prevent bleeding. When pressing the button, the CGM sensor should be resting superficially on the surface of your skin.

What happens if my sensor insertion causes bleeding? 

If you can see the introducer needle sticking out, please be careful that you do not poke yourself and make sure to use proper disposal methods for sharps.

Don’t wear or use any Dexcom G6 components (sensor, transmitter, receiver, and/or smart device) for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scan, or high-frequency electrical heat (diathermy) treatments.

Do I need to remove my Dexcom G6 sensor for certain medical procedures? 

Dexcom G7: Yes, if you had insurance coverage for Dexcom G6, you will have coverage for Dexcom G7.

Will Dexcom G7/G7 15 Day have the same insurance coverage as Dexcom G6?

Google Health Connect is Google’s health and fitness tracking app available for use with Android devices. You can enable the Dexcom G6 app to share glucose data with Health Connect, which displays glucose data with a three-hour delay.

Can I share my glucose data with Google Health Connect?

This feature is only compatible with iOS devices using iOS 12 and above and supported Apple Watches and watchOS.

Is the Dexcom G6 app compatible with Siri? 

The test your doctor does is considered a more accurate glucose number than any products you use at home. Both BGMs and Dexcom G6 are compared to that doctor’s test to measure accuracy in clinical studies. 

If you are replacing your smart device and use the Dexcom G6, please review the instructions and complete them while in a current sensor session or at the time of a sensor change.

Without your sensor code, you’ll need to calibrate twice after your 2-hour sensor warmup is complete, a third time 12 hours later, a fourth time 12 hours after that, and then once every 24 hours. 

I lost my Dexcom sensor code. What do I do? 

Support for the Android Do Not Disturb Permission was introduced with the release of G6 Android app version 1.8.0. Safety is Dexcom’s top priority, so this new app permission is required to ensure you always get the Urgent Low alarm and important Dexcom alerts.

What is the Android Do Not Disturb Permission?

Apple Health is an app included in Apple devices with iOS 8 and higher. Here&#x27;s how to enable Dexcom G6 app to send glucose information to Apple Health app.

How do I enable glucose data sharing from Dexcom G6 app to the Apple Health app?

You should receive ongoing supplies from wherever you received your initial product. Your supplies could be processed through a medical distributor or an approved pharmacy.

How do I reorder Dexcom supplies?

The transmitter battery is good for 3 months. We recommend that you have your next transmitter in hand within 3 months of starting your previous transmitter.

How long does the Dexcom G6 transmitter last?

You will receive transmitter end of battery life alerts on your display device. You should use the transmitter until you receive the message to pair a new transmitter.

You may have pharmacy coverage for Dexcom through your insurance, which would allow you to get supplies at your local pharmacy.

No. Dexcom G6 sensors are designed to last for a maximum of 10 days, after which time the Dexcom G6 will require the insertion of a new sensor.

Can I restart the Dexcom G6 sensor after 10 days?

The transmitter battery is good for 3 months. Starting at 3 weeks before the end of its battery life, the warnings count down the transmitter battery life until it has only 10 days.

Will my transmitter battery last through my next session? 

Dexcom tests all apps on new generation iPhone models after they’re released each Fall.

How soon will Dexcom support new iPhone models after they&#x27;re released?

Dexcom is removing access to some phones. The phone you’re using will no longer be available for use with the G6 app as of January 14, 2023.

During a sensor session, your Dexcom G6 may detect that the sensor can no longer determine your glucose reading. At this time, the sensor session will end and your receiver or compatible smart device will display the Sensor Failed screen. You will now need to replace the sensor.

Why did my Dexcom G6 sensor fail after I started receiving readings from my current sensor session?
