Share is not available on smartwatches. Your smartwatch can’t send information to followers. The primary user must use their Dexcom G7 phone app to use Share and Follow.

Is Share available from my Watch when in Direct to Watch Mode?

You’ll see your current glucose reading, trend arrow, trend graph, and alerts. Tap the trend graph to see your sensor readings over the past 1, 3, or 6 hours.

What G7 features can I view on my Apple Watch when in Direct to Watch Mode?

Yes. Dexcom G7 can display glucose on multiple devices including your phone, smartwatch, and Dexcom receiver or connected AID (Automated Insulin Delivery) system simultaneously and independent of each other.

If I use Direct to Watch, can I still connect to my AID system?

When you see the orange phone icon beside your sensor reading, Direct to Watch mode is temporarily not working. Your smartwatch* isn’t getting information from the sensor.

No, Direct to Watch is not available on Dexcom G6. As we continue to build out Dexcom G7’s connected partner ecosystem we encourage everyone to upgrade to Dexcom G7.

How do I get a Dexcom Receiver?

To set up Dexcom G7 Direct to Watch, you must have an iPhone* that is running iOS 17 or later and an Apple Watch Series 6 or later running watchOS10.

Do I need an iPhone to pair directly with my Apple Watch?

To use Direct to Watch, you must have the following:  Apple Watch 6 or later, running watchOS 10 or later; iPhone running iOS 17;  Must have Dexcom G7 App version 2.1 or later.

What are the Device &amp; Operating system requirements for Direct To Watch?

If you&#x27;re in water, you may not get sensor readings until you get out.

When using Direct to Watch, will I get my numbers while I am swimming?

What smartwatches have Direct to Watch compatibility?

In Standard Smartwatch mode, there is no direct connection between the Dexcom G7 sensor and the smartwatch, so users must keep their smartphone within 6 meters to receive glucose readings on their smartwatch.

How can I tell if I am in Direct to Watch Mode or Standard Smartwatch mode?

No. A cellular plan isn’t required to connect your Dexcom G7 sensor to your watch. The sensor connects to your Apple Watch using Bluetooth.

Do I need to have a cellular plan for my Apple Watch to be able to use the Direct to Watch Feature?

No, Direct to Watch can’t share real-time glucose data to Health App partners like Sugarmate or Happy Bob. When you are back with your phone* your glucose data will be backfilled to the partner app.

Will my Apple Watch* share glucose data with Health Apps like Sugarmate or Happy Bob?

Your watch will mirror the settings of your smartphone. To change the alert settings on your watch you must:  Bring your phone and smartwatch close to each other; Change your alert settings on your G7 phone app; Open and display the G7 app on your watch and phone at the same time for a few seconds; This lets the smartwatch copy the new settings.

How can I change the alert settings on my watch?

Direct to Watch connects the Dexcom G7 sensor directly to your Apple Watch* using Bluetooth.

With Direct to Watch mode, you can see your CGM information on your smartwatch, even when you’re not near your phone.
