No. You can’t log in with your email unless you used it to create and verify your Dexcom account. 

Can all Dexcom users log in with their email? 

Yes. If you sign up with your email, it becomes your Dexcom user ID. You’ll use it to log in to all Dexcom apps and services.

Does signing up with my email affect how I log in?

Pairing usually takes less than 5 minutes. If it takes longer, use these troubleshooting tips. You can also go to the Help screen on your display device for more information.

Why is my display device still &quot;Searching for sensor&quot; and not pairing?

What G7 features can I view on my Apple Watch when in Direct to Watch Mode?

When using Direct to Watch, will I get my numbers while I am swimming?

Activity logging is a way to get data from other activity tracking apps and devices into G7 through Apple Health / Health Connect.

What is Activity Logging?

Share is not available on smartwatches*. Your smartwatch can’t send information to followers. The primary user must use their Dexcom G7 phone app to use Share and Follow‡. Your phone must also be kept in Bluetooth range† of the sensor for the Share and Follow‡ feature to remain in use as well.

Is Share available from my Watch when in Direct to Watch Mode?

To share glucose data with Apple Health Tap on the Connections tab in the Dexcom G7 app Tap Apple Health Tap Activate to share Tap the Blood Glucose switch on the Health Access screen Tap Allow Apple Health does not get your glucose data right away, there is a 3-hour delay.

Once inserted, the sensor is waterproof up to 2.4 meters. The receiver is not. Swim, shower, and take a bath with the sensor, but leave the receiver out of the water. If you are in or near water, your display device may need to be closer than 6 meters to get sensor readings...

What if I have issues with the Dexcom G7 while traveling?

Dexcom Share is a feature within the G6 app that allows for remote monitoring. One person, (the Sharer) may share their CGM data with another person (the Follower). To setup Share simply press the Share icon in the app and follow the onscreen instructions. *Requires separate Follow App and internet connectivity.

How do I share my G6 glucose data with followers?

No. The new Dexcom G6 CGM system is designed to eliminate the need for fingerstick calibrations* and can be used for 10 days without restart. *If your glucose alerts and readings from the G6 do not match symptoms or expectations, use a blood glucose meter to make diabetes treatment decisions.

Can the sensor be restarted after 10 days?

Yes, the Dexcom G6 app is available for free download in the Google Play and Apple App Stores.

Is there a Smartphone app for the G6?

What is the Android Do Not Disturb Permission? Support for the Android Do Not Disturb Permission was introduced with the release of G6 Android app version 1.9.0. Safety is Dexcom’s top priority, so this new app permission is required to ensure you always get the Urgent Low alarm and important Dexcom alerts even when you put your phone in the most restrictive Do Not Disturb setting.

A new Dexcom patient will receive the Dexcom G6 system including a transmitter and sensors. An optional touch screen receiver is available as well. What components are required with the new G6 system? 

Dexcom G6 sensors may be inserted on the abdomen and the back of the upper arm (indicated for patients age 2 years and older) or the upper buttocks (ages 2-17 years)...

Where can I insert my G6 sensor?

The Dexcom G6 app must be downloaded to your smartphone. It is available for free from the Apple App or Google Play stores. The app is named “Dexcom G6”. Once downloaded, follow the in-app prompts to set up your account and start your sensor.

How do I set up the Dexcom G6 with my phone? 

When you start a new sensor, you must enter a code into your display device to use the G6 without fingerstick calibrations. Each sensor has its own code printed on the back of the adhesive patch. Do not use a code from a different sensor or make up a code. If you do not enter the correct code, your sensor will not work as well and could be inaccurate. If you have lost the sensor code, you may calibrate the G6 using fingersticks.

How do I get a Dexcom receiver?

Each year we assess whether to keep supporting older Operating Systems (OS) for Dexcom apps. When an OS you’re using is no longer supported for your Dexcom app, we will ask you to update your OS to continue getting app updates. Your current Dexcom app version will continue to work, but you won’t be able to get future app updates until you update your OS to the new required minimum OS.  

Why am I being asked to update my phone operating system (OS) to continue getting Dexcom app updates?

We understand you may be concerned about granting this permission, but Dexcom does not use this permission to track your location. The Android Bluetooth implementation we use requires you to give us this level of Location Permission for us to connect and communicate continuously with the Transmitter. While this permission can be used to share location data, Dexcom doesn’t use it in this way.

How long does the Dexcom G6 transmitter last?

Yes, you can check your CGM information on your Apple Watch! The Dexcom G6 app supports Apple Watch and can be used to discreetly view your glucose reading, trend arrow, and trend graph. Use the digital crown to scroll the trend graph view between 1, 3, or 6 hours of data.  You can also view your number and arrow as a complication on your watch face. You can choose from 5 complication styles depending on your preferred watch face.

Can I view my Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System data on an Apple Watch?

I&#x27;m having trouble getting started - what should I do?

How can I avoid iritated or sensitive skin caused by the sensor adhesive?

The option to enter calibrations was included to allow a user to manually calibrate the system in case the start-up calibration code is lost. The system is designed to work properly without calibrations.

Does the G6 accept calibrations? 

You have the option to use only the app, only the receiver, or both at the same time.

Do I need to use my receiver?

What smart phones are compatible with the Follow app? 

The Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP) is a licensed, standardized glucose report created by the International Diabetes Center (IDC). AGP provides a big picture view of your diabetes management and is only one part of understanding your glucose patterns.

What is the AGP Report?

Yes. If you currently use the Dexcom G5 Mobile Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System and have downloaded the Dexcom G5 Mobile app, then you have already created a Dexcom account and should use this to log in to Clarity - please do not create a new one. Your username and password can also be used with the Dexcom Clarity Uploader tool. If you currently use a Dexcom receiver, you may already have a Dexcom account from ordering or using Share and should use this to log in to Clarity.

Do I need a Dexcom account to access Dexcom Clarity?

In Dexcom Clarity, use the Settings page to customize data display and sharing. Changes only apply to Dexcom Clarity and do not change any settings on your Dexcom CGM system. Changes made in Settings by a healthcare professional during a clinic session only apply during the session.

How can I customize Dexcom Clarity?

Any event that is entered into your CGM will show up on Dexcom Clarity graphs when your data is updated from your Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System or you upload your receiver to Clarity. For example, if “exercise” is entered at 17:00 on 5 June, it will show up on all graphs that include 5 June, after data is updated from the Cloud (about 3 hours after event is entered) or after you upload the receiver for that time period.

Will events entered into my CGM receiver show up in Dexcom Clarity?

At this time, there is no mechanism to import the data from Dexcom STUDIO into Dexcom Clarity. Data stored in Dexcom STUDIO will continue to be viewable within Dexcom STUDIO.

How do I access past data from Dexcom STUDIO?

Is Dexcom Clarity compatible with both G4 Platinum and G5 Mobile platforms?

It is possible to use both a smart device and a receiver to provide CGM data. The smart device system streams data to the Clarity server, where that data is made available for reports after three hours. The Dexcom receiver requires connection to a computer to upload the data periodically. If the patient uses a smart device part of the time and a receiver part of the time, then Clarity needs data from both to provide accurate statistics.

Can I use both a receiver and smart device with Dexcom Clarity?

Go to https://Clarity.dexcom.eu from an internet browser with internet connection. Review Clarity’s list of computer and internet requirements if needed.

How do I get to Dexcom Clarity?

Login issues can be caused by having the incorrect country or region selected in your smartphone settings. Within smartphone settings, set the Region (iOS) and Language/Region (Android) to match your Dexcom account then, reinstall the Dexcom Clarity app and try again. Please contact your local Dexcom if you need further assistance.

Why do I see &quot;username or password are incorrect&quot; when I try to log into the Dexcom Clarity app on my smartphone?

What are the computer and software requirements for Dexcom Clarity?

In order to receive and see your Dexcom CGM data in Dexcom Clarity and your third-party apps and devices (e.g. Glooko app), please ensure the following settings:

Why am I not seeing data in Dexcom Clarity or in my third-party application?

Clinics can easily send email invitations to patients. All you have to do is accept the email invitation by entering the code provided in the invite from your physician or clinic. Then you will be linked to your physician’s office. You can share data automatically via the cloud if you are using your phone and the Dexcom G5 Mobile app, or by connecting your receiver to your computer or the clinic computer.

How can I share information with my doctor? 

When the low utilization filter is applied, days with less than 50% CGM data capture will display.

What is a low utilization day?

Who should I contact if I have questions regarding Dexcom Clarity?

Time in Range is the percentage of time that glucose levels are in low, target and high ranges. Dexcom Clarity displays time in range from both daytime and nighttime ranges. Each Dexcom CGM reading is compared against the custom glucose target range and assigned a category of High, In Range, Low, or Urgent Low. Readings are tallied, then percentages for each category are calculated.

How are ranges defined for Time in Range?

The Clarity User Guide can be found and printed from the Clarity Help menu. Your local Dexcom representative can also provide a printed copy.

Where can I obtain a printed version of the Dexcom Clarity user guide?

All data uploaded into Dexcom Clarity will remain accessible as long as the product is available for use. Please note that upon logging in to Clarity for the first time, Clarity may show limited data depending on when the account was created. Going forward, data will then continue to build as it is uploaded to Clarity.

How far back can I access my data?

If you upload your receiver to the Clarity home user account, you can share your home user account data with your health care provider. Your clinic will need to give you a sharing invitation via email or printed invitation to initiate sharing. Alternatively, you can share your data with a healthcare professional by having your clinic upload your Dexcom CGM receiver using the CGM accessory cable directly to Dexcom Clarity for Healthcare Professionals.

How can I share my data using a Dexcom Receiver?

Under the Devices section of Dexcom Clarity’s Overview page you will find the alert settings and last upload for the device. These settings are for your reference and are separate from Dexcom Clarity settings.

Does Dexcom Clarity have information about my receiver or smart device?

For every release, a notification banner is posted at the top of the Dexcom Clarity on the day of the release. Follow the banner’s link to read the release notes. If the Uploader software is updated, the notification banner posts 2 weeks before the release.

How do I know when Dexcom Clarity has been updated?

Yes, you can choose which glucose notifications you receive for each Sharer. Changes to settings in the Follow app do not affect the Sharer’s CGM settings. To change notifications, follow these instructions: If Sharer is sharing their trend graph, go to their graph and tap the gear icon. If Sharer is not sharing their trend graph, tap in the list view and make changes. Sharer decides if you can view their trend graph.

Can I customize notification settings?

If you’re changing your smart device, install the Dexcom Follow app on your new device. Your Sharer must remove you from their Followers, then invite you again.

How do I follow using my new smart device?

Remotely monitor a Dexcom CGM user’s glucose with the Dexcom Follow app. Once a Sharer’s invitation is accepted, the Follower can see: Sharer’s glucose reading Sharer’s trend arrow showing their glucose speed and direction Glucose notifications of changes, like a Low or High Both the Sharer’s and Follower’s smart devices must have a mobile data connection or Wi-Fi. What is Dexcom Follow?

Yes, you get Follow notifications when the app is closed.

Will I receive notifications if the Follow app is closed?

Follow up to ten (10) Sharers with Dexcom Follow. Follow version 4.0 and up allows up to ten (10) followers. Earlier versions allow up to five (5) followers.

How many Sharer&#x27;s can I follow?

Your phone settings can prevent the Dexcom Follow app from working. Learn more about the settings that will allow your app to work as expected. App PauseOn Android 10 and above, Pause temporarily disables apps. What are the recommended Android phone settings?

Allow notifications from Follow in your smart device settings. 1. Go to your smart device settings. 2. Go to notifications 3. Find Follow in the app list and turn on notifications. Don’t miss notifications. Allow notifications to show on your lock screen. Keep your volume loud.

What should I do if Follow says notifications are off?

Your phone settings can prevent the Dexcom Follow app from working. Learn more about the settings that will allow your app to work as expected. Screen Time Screen Time&#x27;s Downtime and App Limits can temporarily disable apps. If you set time limits for the Dexcom Follow app, you may not open the app, or get notifications.1. Go to phone Settings2. Tap Screen Time3. Turn off Downtime and App Limits, or add Dexcom Follow app to the Always Allowed app list 

What are the recommended iPhone settings? 

There are several reasons you may not receive expected notifications. In your Follow app: Check your Sharer’s glucose notifications. Turn on the ones you want. Check each notification’s delay setting. If a delay is set, you’re only notified if the condition lasts longer than the delay. Check your Sharer’s status. If you see No Data, Disconnected, Not Sharing, or Removed by Sharer you won’t receive notifications. Ask your Sharer if you have questions. Other issues:

Why am I not getting glucose notifications?

No, your smart device must have sound enabled to receive notification sounds.

Will I receive notification sounds if my smart device is muted, on vibrate or set to Do Not Disturb?

The latest Follow release contains important updates to the app that improve user experience and enable Dexcom to better serve its customers.

Why was I asked to update my Dexcom Follow app?

To see the last 24 hours of Sharer’s glucose readings: All Follow version users can tap the 24 hour button on your Sharer’s page Follow version 4.0 and up users may also turn the smart device sideways to see more detailed data. Tap graph for more details. Your smart device must allow screen rotation.
