CGM Coverage with Manulife
Not all group health insurance plans with Manulife may have adopted standard CGM coverage. Please confirm your coverage through the insurer’s contact centre, member website or mobile app.
Does Manulife provide Dexcom CGM coverage?
Most plan members with diabetes using at least one anti-hyperglycemic medication (oral, injection or insulin) with Manulife group health insurance are eligible for Dexcom G7 CGM coverage. Your G7 claims can be submitted and paid directly at your pharmacy of choice.
Do I need a prescription to qualify for coverage
Yes, you will need a valid prescription. Your doctor or prescribing pharmacist can provide you a prescription for Dexcom G7. They can switch you from Dexcom G6 to Dexcom G7 without a new prescription.
What do I need to get coverage approval?
For eligible Manulife plan members with treated diabetes and a prescription for Dexcom G7, coverage of Dexcom G7supplies (sensors and receiver) will be automatically approved at pharmacy.
How long am I approved for?
Check with your insurer through their contact center, member website or mobile app for coverage details.
Where can I get my Dexcom CGM supplies?
You can pick up your Dexcom G7 CGM supplies from your pharmacy of choice.
Will I have any out-of-pocket costs?
In some cases you may have out-of-pocket costs when purchasing at your pharmacy.
