Plan ahead. Get a new prescription at your next appointment
Dexcom will no longer manufacture the Dexcom G6 CGM System after July 1, 2026. While supplies may continue to be available through your local pharmacy after that date, we cannot guarantee availability.
To ensure uninterrupted Dexcom CGM supplies and support, we recommend working with your healthcare team to upgrade to Dexcom G7 at your next appointment.
Insurance coverage and switching CGMs
Private insurance plans
Dexcom G7 will also be covered. Ensure you have a new prescription for Dexcom G7 when you go to your pharmacy to prevent any issues in processing your claim.
Provincial health plans
Your pharmacist will be able to request a new prescription for your doctor and confirm if any paperwork for your plan needs updating to confirm your switch to Dexcom G7.
