Donald (“Don”) Abbey is Executive Vice President, Global Business Services, Regulatory, Medical and Clinical Affairs at Dexcom, where he leads the teams responsible for delivering world‑class customer service and technical support, ensuring global regulatory compliance, and guiding Dexcom’s medical and clinical strategies to advance patient care.
Don joined Dexcom in May 2016 and has 35+ years of medical device and pharmaceutical industry experience. He most recently served as Dexcom’s Executive Vice President of Global Business Services, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs, and has held multiple executive roles during his tenure. In these positions, he helped transform how Dexcom scales, operationalizes, and delivers exceptional customer experiences while fostering a deeply quality‑driven, high‑performance culture. Prior to Dexcom, he held executive leadership roles overseeing global quality, regulatory, and medical affairs at Becton Dickinson, CareFusion, and Cardinal Health, along with earlier senior roles at Respironics, Welch Allyn, and Philips Healthcare.
Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Washington State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington. He has served on the Board of Directors of ICU Medical since 2018.
