Zeferino (Zef) Cisneros is Executive Vice President, Quality and Global Operations at Dexcom. Zef leads the continued expansion of Dexcom’s global manufacturing footprint and end-to-end operations while ensuring every product that reaches a customer meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability, a responsibility he takes personally.
Zef brings 25+ years of global operations, manufacturing, and supply chain leadership across highly regulated industries, with a track record of building high-performing teams, driving transformational change, and delivering products that improve—and save—lives. With roots in process engineering, he brings a systems-driven, data-oriented leadership style grounded in continuous improvement and operational rigor.
Prior to Dexcom, Zef served as SVP, Global Operations (Critical Care) at Edwards Lifesciences, where he led global operations across multiple plants and service locations worldwide. He launched innovative new products, deployed AI-enabled operational capabilities, drove quality performance to zero recalls, and guided the organization through COVID-era supply chain disruption while delivering strong financial results.
Earlier, Zef held senior operations leadership roles at GE HealthCare, including leading Global Lean and operating-system standardization and transformation across the ~$20B global platform with 75 sites and global footprint, also overseeing Clinical Care Solutions globally; a ~$6B portfolio spanning multiple segments with manufacturing across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. He began his career in GE’s Operations Management Leadership Program and advanced through hands-on plant leadership roles at Honeywell and GE.
Zef holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Ciudad Juárez, a Master of Finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and is APICS CPIM certified.
