Can you cure type 2 diabetes?
While weight loss and regular exercise will help overweight patients with type 2 diabetes return to normal blood glucose (sugar) levels, there is currently no cure for type 2 diabetes. It is a disease that will need to be managed with a healthy lifestyle—diet, exercise and possibly medication, including insulin injections—to help blood glucose stay in the normal range.
