What happens when the Dexcom Smart Basal program is complete?
When the Dexcom Smart Basal program is complete, you will receive a final dose recommendation from the program that you continue taking at the same time each day. In some cases, the program will recommend that you follow up with your healthcare provider right away to discuss the final dose recommendation. Plan to keep taking the final recommended dose at the same time each day until you follow up with your healthcare provider
You will only receive daily dose reminders for an additional 5 days after the program ends. Then you may want to set up a daily alarm on your phone to help remind you to take your basal insulin at the same time every day. After you complete the Smart Basal program, you can still log your dose in the G7 app under the Log tab using the plus button to add an insulin event.
