What insulin can I use with Dexcom Smart Basal?
Dexcom Smart Basal can ONLY be used with glargine U-100 long-acting insulin. Common glargine U-100 insulin brand names include Lantus, Basaglar, Semglee, Rezvoglar, and Insulin Glargine U-100 (generic).
Dexcom Smart Basal should NOT be used for people taking fast-acting (mealtime) insulin, which impacts long-acting dose recommendations and could cause severe hypoglycemia.
