1) What is the Dexcom Patient Assistance Program?
We recognize that unemployment rates continue to rise, and we wish to offer relief to our customers that have recently lost their insurance coverage. Therefore, we have created the Dexcom Patient Assistance Program to temporarily provide low-cost access to Dexcom G6 supplies through the COVID-19 pandemic. This program allows our current customers to access their CGM supplies at a reduced out of pocket cost. Dexcom will provide up to two 90-day supply shipments of their Dexcom CGM system supplies for customers who qualify. Each shipment will cost $45 and will consist of one transmitter and three boxes of three sensors.

2) Who is eligible to participate?
Current US Dexcom customers who have lost their health insurance due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be eligible to participate in this program. Certain terms and conditions apply to confirm program eligibility, such as the submission of a complete application and documentation showing the loss of health care benefits.

3) How do I apply?
Click here to apply for the Dexcom Patient Assistance Program.

4) Are Medicare and Medicaid insured patients eligible?
No. The Dexcom Patient Assistance Program is only available to current US customers who have lost insurance as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers that are eligible for coverage of their Dexcom CGM systems under a federal or state government program (such as Medicare, Medicaid, or Veterans Affairs coverage) are not eligible to participate.

5) Does this program apply to dependents of caregivers who have lost their health insurance?
Yes, dependents of people who have lost their health insurance may be eligible for participation in the Dexcom Patient Assistance Program, as long as they do not have secondary insurance coverage (i.e., Medicaid, Medicare, or Veterans’ Affairs benefits).

6) Is the patient assistance program available to customers outside of the United States?
No. Currently, the program is only available to American customers due to specific private and public insurance challenges in the US.
