Your compatible smart device beeps, vibrates, and displays a message when you first get an alarm or alert. If you cannot hear your alarm or alerts on your Dexcom G6 app, follow these steps.

Why did my Dexcom G6 sensor fail after I started receiving readings from my current sensor session?
During a sensor session, your Dexcom G6 may detect that the sensor can no longer determine your glucose reading. At this time, the sensor session will end and your receiver or compatible smart device will display the Sensor Failed screen. You will now need to replace the sensor.

What happens if I have trouble starting my Dexcom G6 sensor session?
As long as you are using the latest version of the G6 app to scan or are entering the first six characters of the Transmitter Serial Number manually, everything should work as it did before. As always, if you need help, please contact Technical Support.
Will the new Transmitter Serial Numbers (SN) affect AID connectivity?
No. When manually entering the Serial Number, use just the first six characters. All of the communication between devices remains the same.
Why is my G6 app not able to scan the Transmitter Serial Number on the carton or on the transmitter?
Older G6 apps are not able to read the new Transmitter Serial Number code. Just update your G6 app to the latest version in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
What will I see in Google Play Store if my phone is compatible with Dexcom G6 app?
The Dexcom G6 app will show up in the search results, and the green “Install” button will be shown on the Dexcom G6 app store page.
