How long can I wear the Dexcom G7 CGM sensor?
Dexcom G7: The Dexcom G7 sensor is indicated to be worn for up to 10 days, with a 12-hour grace period at the end. Dexcom G7 should be worn on the back of your upper arm, or upper buttocks for children 2 to 6 years old.
Dexcom G7 15 Day: The Dexcom G7 15 Day sensor is indicated to be worn for up to 15 days, with a 12-hour grace period at the end. Dexcom G7 15 Day should be worn on the back of your upper arm for adults ages 18 years and older.
As a reminder, read product instructions before you use your Dexcom G7 CGM System.
Where to insert —
- Dexcom G7 sensors may be inserted on the back of the upper arm (ages 2 years and older) or the upper buttocks (ages 2-6 years old).
- Dexcom G7 15 Day sensors may be inserted on the back of the upper arm (ages 18 years and older).
Don’t wear your Dexcom G7 sensor on other sites as it may not work as expected.
Follow the insertion instructions carefully. Extra care may help you keep your sensor on for the entire sensor session.
Be sure to use the overpatch included with your G7 sensor; this will help ensure your sensor will remain in place for the duration of the wear session.
